Day 17 — “Finding Joy in Hard Seasons”

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, 18  yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.  (Habakkuk 3:17–18, ESV)

Even when all seems lost or hopeless, be joyful and grateful at least for your salvation with God, assuming you’ve chosen to accept it.

There will be plenty of hardships and dark seasons in life.

And it’s easy to be grateful for things when things are going well.

The true faith is found when you’re able to sit back, take a breath, and just be grateful you’re being saved. No matter how upsetting, devastating, or unbearable something seems in your life… you can still find happiness, joy, and gratitude through the grace of Gods salvation.

The hard times and bad days won’t last forever.

Neither will the good times and happy days.

Enjoy the journey. Let go & Let God. 😌🙏

Today’s Focus:

• Choosing gratitude when circumstances don’t cooperate

Prayer 🙏

Dear God, I thank you for giving me so many seasons and changes throughout life. It keeps me on my toes, keeps me growing, and keeps me excited to push through into the next chapter and challenge. Thank you for such a blessing and opportunity, though I don’t usually see it right away. I ask that you continue to look over and guide me along this journey you’ve provided for me and allow some others to find my path and join it as well. In Jesus name, amen.
