Day 0 – The First Devotional

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me… If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”John 15:4-7 (NKJV)

There comes a point where you realize the grind alone won’t get you there.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast” — Ephesians 2:8-9

You can hustle, plan, push, and still feel like you’re running on a hamster wheel getting nowhere except exhausted…

Jesus didn’t tell us to produce fruit on our own… He told us to abide in Him.

Meaning “to stay”, “to remain”, “to live in.” It’s not just a Sunday visit; it’s a daily decision.

When we disconnect from the Vine, life starts to lose peace and liveliness.

Faith starts to just become another routine.

Prayers begin to get rushed.

But when we reconnect… not with works, but with presence, with the Vine, everything realigns.

The fruit starts showing again. Patience, peace, confidence, purpose.

Not because we work harder, but because we stay plugged in.

If you’re reading this and feel dry, distracted, or distant, don’t beat yourself up. Just come back. The Vine hasn’t moved — He’s been waiting 🤲

Let’s Reflect 😌

• Where have I been trying to live for God without actually living with Him?

• What would “abiding” look like in my daily routine; five quiet minutes before work, prayer on my commute, worship before bed?

• What’s just one area of my life that needs to be re-connected to His presence right now?

🙏 Prayer

Lord, I’m done trying to do this on my own power.

I return to You… my Source, my strength, my peace. Re-root my heart in Your presence.

Teach me to abide, not just believe. To devote, not just discuss.

Let Your words live in me today. Amen.

🚨 Today’s Challenge

Take 10 quiet minutes today:

  • No phone
  • No music
  • No agenda
  • Just sit with God.

Don’t fill the silence; let Him.

Tomorrow we’ll hit Day 1 — “Start with Surrender.”

Before we chase anything, we’ll talk about what it means to hand God the keys at the start of every day.

✝️ Have a blessed day friends 🙏
